A Lesson In Detachment + The Future Of This Show — Ep. 100

Episode #100

Recently, I sold a bunch of furniture. Not that exciting on the surface except that, in the process, it uncovered some major attachment issues. You see, I made that furniture mean something.

We, as humans, do this all the time. We attach meaning to external things and then use that to dictate our actions and reactions. And that causes some BIG emotions and...stuckness.

This episode holds a lesson in detachment—being able to let go, trust, and allow life to unfold without attaching unnecessary meaning and emotion to it. I also have a big announcement of the future of this show as I listen to my inner wisdom on the next step to take.

“Detachment is releasing the meaning you’re giving to an outcome, a goal, a dream, an object, a person or a place and instead, stepping back, releasing your grip on things and letting things unfold.” - Shawn Mynar

“Life is and always will be evolving, moving, shifting, changing and when we don’t realize that, we cause attachment issues.” - Shawn Mynar

"If you are in a place where you found an emotion attached in a situation, ask yourself, ‘what am I making this mean?’" - Shawn Mynar

"Keep coming back to the moment. The only moment that you have, that you know, that is here, right now is this moment." - Shawn Mynar
